LAS VEGAS—Stretching across four continents, touring over 65 cities around the globe the Chinese New Year Spectacular finished another show in the city of lights and dreams at the Las Vegas Hilton Theatre.
"It's a broad representation of Chinese culture," said Ira David Sternberg, the Vice President of Communications and Community Relations for the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas.
Drawing on its 5,000 year history, the Spectacular is a showcase of ancient Chinese culture at its best.
"The drum presentation was very dynamic," said Sternberg. "The show has a broad appeal. The pacing varies, some is high-energy, some is peaceful. This can appeal to tourists and those looking for a traditional Chinese show," he added.
Sternberg, practically at a loss for words for her elegance and grace, described Michelle Ren, lead dancer and top-ranked classical Chinese dancer in the world, as "exquisite!"
Moving on, the Spectacular is heading north to San Francisco's Orpheum Theater for its next stop, where it will be performing seven shows from Jan. 23-26.
The Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular shows will continue in Detroit at the Detroit Opera House on Jan. 22, Northrop Memorial Auditorium in Minneapolis on Jan. 24, Arie Crown Theater in Chicago Jan.25-26. Beginning on Jan. 30, the NTDTV Chinese New Year Splendor will play for 15 shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The Epoch Times is a proud sponsor of the Divine Performing Arts shows that will perform in over 60 cities worldwide in 2008. To find a show near you, please visit www.bestchineseshows.com.
