DELAIDE, Australia—Although it is a Tuesday afternoon, Adelaide Festival Theatre was still full of people coming to see the Divine Performance Arts Chinese Spectacular.

Dr. Lu, who has been living in Adelaide for many years, told reporter he was deeply touched by the show.

"I am a Chinese, and I am deeply rooted in the Chinese culture, so I know the meaning behind these performances, such as the Ladies of the Manchu Court; it represents the traditional Chinese aesthetics value, which are deeply rooted in the traditional Chinese culture—a culture formed in a very long history. Because of that, the show is like running water in the mountains, giving people a fresh feeling." said Lu.

Dr. Lu said he has interests in both traditional arts and pop arts, but "as a Chinese, I have more interests in traditional Chinese culture, it has more inner meaning because of the five thousands year history."

Dr. Lu also praised the design of the backdrop screen, "it opens people's eyes, an excellent visual enjoyment, and the screen design seamlessly match with the dance and the music, giving people a vivid and multi-dimensional feeling."

"I feel the Chinese classical dance is really rich, compares to Ballet, it has more cultural content." said Lu.

"I feel that besides physical training, those dancing artists must have gone through special training in their moral cultivation, they have very good understanding about how to present the inner meaning of a program, how to complete a single movement, I am really glad to see that."

Dr. Lu also said the Divine Performance Arts did provided a very "meaningful" performance, "More performances like these will help to spread Chinese culture around the world, and let more westerners understand China, it is a marvelous thing."
