It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest wishes to everyone attending tonight's 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular hosted by the New Tang Dynasty Television Canada.

On this very special occasion, on behalf of the Government of Ontario, I want to thank you and salute you for helping to promote the vital links from China to Canada, while also contributing to a deeper understanding of the traditional classical Chinese Culture.

I personally wish to welcome this opportunity to confirm my dedicated support of the Chinese Cultural Heritage as an integral part of Canada and Ontario's multicultural society.

As we celebrate the 2008 Chinese New Year through this grand event, I wish to convey my heartfelt congratulations to our Chinese Community. May 2008, the year of the Rat, bring you a fresh start, health, happiness and prosperity.
