It is my privilege to welcome the members of Divine Performing Arts to Las Vegas for the 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular.
Based in New York, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) has entertained audiences around the world with its classical Chinese dancers and talented vocalists. With a focus on the traditional Chinese themes of beauty and goodness, DPA is an example of the many cultural contributions that Chinese Americans have made to our nation. I am honored to represent Nevada's Chinese American community and I look forward strengthening our relationship in the New Year.
The 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular is one of the largest celebrations of its kind, and Las Vegas is fortunate to be hosting such an exciting event. Tonight's festivities promise to be a truly enriching experience, bringing the music, dance, and culture of China to all in attendance.
