LOS ANGELES—It was out-of-the-ordinary entertainment on a Sunday afternoon at the final Los Angeles performance of the Divine Performing Arts' Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Nokia Theater in downtown L.A.
Interviewed in the lobby after the show, an exotic-looking lady named Fahtiem, who is a Middle Eastern dancer, commented "I loved it! It was a feast for my eyes and a feast for my soul. This venue is very inspiring.
"I'm always looking for inspiration because I'm a dancer and choreographer and a teacher." "The colors, the articles, the fans, and sticks brought energy and beauty."
Fahtiem also found the story lines beautiful and said, she "truly liked having the songs in the singer's native language with subtitles. I could really connect with the words in the songs—they touched me spiritually."
She commented that she has a full schedule traveling all over the world, having just recently returned from Egypt and the United Kingdom, and yet she takes time to come to this performance because "It is so wonderful to be able to sit back and be entertained so beautifully."
