I wish everybody a happy new year, a year of renewal, a year of exciting change. I would like to thank Chinese American's in my community  across America for the tremendous uplifting changes they have caused,  because of bringing their culture to the United States and indeed to cultures all throughout the world. Thank you very much and happy new year.

I know each year people look forward to attending the splendor, the Chinese New year at Radio City Music Hall, and I think it highlights and brings to the public a great tradition that China has brought to this world, and it does so that  the Chinese community that this country does with great pride, remembering the country America has always been honoring the tradition and heritage of land of their ancestors.

Nihao, my good Chinese friends, thank you so much for allowing me to join and wishing you a very very happy new year. I wish I could be there at the celebration at the beautiful radio city, but as you probably already know, I am here in Washington legislating and I won't be able to be with you. But let me take this opportunity to thank the wonderful Chinese people for the contribution you made, not only to our wonderful country, but to civilization through out the world.
