VIP Greetings - Philadelphia

WHEREAS, Pennsylvania is home to nearly 300,000 Asian Americans whose traditional values such as respect for family, community, and education help to enrich the lives and culture of all Pennsylvanians; and

It gives me great pleasure to bring greetings to each of you during this most auspicious occasion.  As in previous years, I am assured of the exciting and enchanting performances that will take place in celebration of the 2008 Chinese New Year.

The commitment of every participant to display China’s rich heritage through perfectly choreographed song and movement is only a small portion of what makes this event most befitting of its name - Spectacular!

It is an honor to welcome the Chinese New Year and the great continuing endeavors of the Greater Philadelphia Asian Culture Center.

GPACC is hosting one of the premier events in the city of Philadelphia. This event brings unity and solidarity between the varied cultures contained within the city of Philadelphia. I am appreciative of the honor bestowed by the GPACC, and am grateful for the opportunity to support and identify GPACC as one of Philadelphia's crowning jewels.

It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest greetings to everyone gathered at the Merriam Theater for this year's Chinese New Year Spectacular.  Traveling through China as a young naval officer in the 1980s, I was struck by the rich culture and tradition of its people.  I would like to thank the Greater Philadelphia Asian Culture Center, New Tang Dynasty Television, and the Divine Performing Arts troupe for bringing the beauty and wonder of Chinese music, dance, and traditio

Congratulations to the Greater Philadelphia Asian Culture Center and the Delaware Asian Culture Center as they present the New Tang Dynasty Chinese New Year Spectacular.

It gives me great pleasure to honor you as you present the rich culture and history of the Chinese Community. 

I would like to congratulate you, the Greater Philadelphia Asian Culture Center, and the Delaware Asian Culture Center, on being selected to host the Philadelphia performances of New Tang Dynasty Television’s 2007 Chinese New Year Spectacular.

I would like to give GPACC and the Delaware Asian Culture Center a whole-hearted congratulations on hosting the Philadelphia performances of New Tang Dynasty Television's Chinese New Year Global Spectacular.

Cultural diversity is something Philadelphia prides itself on, and gives the city a true feeling of humanity, inclusiveness and spirit. I am delighted that the 2007 Chinese New Year Global Spectacular will reach such a wide audience in and around the city, providing a closer look into the richness of Chinese culture.
